The thirty-five hectares area of the park contains dozens of static and moving dinosaur statues in real life size. This park, located near Ostrava, is the largest DinoPark in the Czech republic. It spreads over two plateaus and in addition to dinosaur models, you can take a DinoExpress or explore an active 12-meter volcano. Children love this place.
DinoPark is a unique concept of thematically focused amusement parks in the Czech Republic and only a handful of other European countries. The network of DinoParks introduces visitors to the specific environment of the Mesozoic era and to the mysterious world of dinosaurs in their real life forms. It is a place where your children will not only have a lot of fun, but they can also learn quite a lot. In addition, all the dinosaurs are located exclusively outside and set in a natural environment, therefore a visit to the park is also a great opportunity to spend some time outdoors and enjoy the fresh air with your children.
The DinoPark motto is to bring unforgettable joy, knowledge, fun and exciting experiences to young and old DinoFans. It was founded in 2009 and is keeping to this motto ever since. In addition to all the dinosaurs, you will also find many other children attractions in the area, such as various playgrounds, mazes and the Mini ZOO. The 3D cinema is also very popular and it is completely free for all visitors with a valid ticket. And don’t forget to take the DinoExpress which will make you feel like you are in the Jurassic Park. Parents will surely appreciate the on-site refreshment, while children will most definitely enjoy the gift shop. You can, without a doubt, spend an entire day here.
DinoPark has seasonal opening hours from April to October, but the visiting hours may vary depending on the months. So check the exact opening hours before visiting.
If you go by car, take the road No. 59 in the direction of Karviná and then turn to Doubrava. The parking is included in the entrance fee. If you wish to go by bus, you first need to get to Orlová and from there take the Orlová-Karviná line to the Doubrava-DinoPark stop.
Despite the name – DinoPark Ostrava – the complex is located in the village of Doubrava between Orlová and Karviná. When visiting, you can plan a tour of the wider region and explore the mining history of Ostrava and its neighbourhood.
The exhibition is primarily intended for children of all ages, but some of the dinosaurs might prove to be a little scary for the youngest and the most fearful DinoFans. However, they can be accompanied by parents, grandparents, uncles or aunts to relieve their fears. The unique experience will be appreciated by everyone. Feel free to come with a pram.
