A unique exhibition is located in the building of the former VI. Power Switchboard in the area of Dolní Vítkovice (DOV) in the City of Ostrava. It reveals the secrets of technical inventions from the steam engine up to present day. Visitors can admire a wide range of inventions which significantly marked the industrial development and technical progress in the territory of the Czech lands as well as in the whole world. Apart from the exhibition, classrooms which can be booked for schools and the Jules Verne Café are situated in the U6 building. The aim is to present technology and science issues to both young and old discoverers and by practical examples introduce technology as not being scary, but rather as being an interesting subject with a future.
